Who we are?

We connect technology, knowledge, and people.

We are an initiative led by Profamilia, with the support of IPPF, created to support associations in the strategic use of digital tools through a close, practical approach adapted to the needs of each context. We work so that organizations can identify new opportunities and turn their ideas into concrete actions that enable them to reach more people, strengthen their services, and make them more agile, accessible, and sustainable.

What do we do?

Assessment and guidance

We help organizations understand their current situation, identify opportunities, and define priorities to advance in their digital journey.

Capacity strengthening

We develop workshops, practical resources, and adaptable materials that facilitate the implementation of concrete actions in different contexts.

Community and shared learning

We promote the exchange of experiences, collaboration among organizations, and the joint development of useful and sustainable solutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions, clear answers.

Find quick answers about Colab, our initiatives, and how we work together to drive digital transformation.

What is Colab's objective?

We seek to strengthen institutional capacities so that more organizations can expand the access, quality, efficiency, and sustainability of their sexual and reproductive health services through the strategic use of digital tools.

Which initiatives can I participate in?

We invite you to participate in initiatives open to the entire federation, including communities of practice and webinars, where you can learn or share experiences on topics related to digital health interventions.

If you have a specific interest, please email us at colab@ippf.org so we can review your proposal.

At present, we are working with an initial cohort of associations that we are supporting strategically to implement measurable actions that contribute to their digitalization process.

Do you know what digital health is?

Digital health involves using technological tools, such as applications, virtual consultations, chats, and online platforms, to facilitate access to health information and services.

At IPPF, these tools help people find reliable information about Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, connect with services, receive remote guidance, and take care of their health more easily and safely.

What are communities of practice?

They bring together organizations from different countries so they can connect, share experiences, and learn from one another. Through collaboration and the exchange of good practices, they strengthen their skills and find new ways to improve their services and expand their impact.

What are webinars?

They are virtual seminars and sessions on digital transformation that provide spaces to share experiences, discover innovative ideas, and strengthen capacities in different areas.

How can I assess my organization's digital development?

We invite you to complete the Digital Maturity Index assessment. This tool will help you identify strengths, opportunities, and next steps for advancing your organization’s digital transformation.

We recommend setting aside sufficient time and involving different teams across the organization to obtain a more complete and useful view of the results.

Which other initiatives does Colab collaborate with?

Colab works in coordination with other IPPF initiatives and centers, such as the Center of Excellence for Comprehensive Sexuality Education, MA Commercial Sustainability, EmpowHer, and the Social Enterprise Center, among others.

This collaboration allows us to strengthen capacities through a comprehensive approach that connects the provision of sexual and reproductive health services, community empowerment, and organizational sustainability.
